  • Tell us about your experience with a brick and mortar business.
    • She felt that to be a respected trainer she had to have a brick and mortar business.
    • It was a dream of hers and she opened her first gym right out of college.
    • After that, she opened up a second gym with a business partner that was all trainer-based.
    • The gym was very competitor minded, but after she got out of competition she was no longer passionate about it.
    • She then sold her portion of the gym.
    • She opened up a boutique gym that did group training.
      • Similar to an Orange Theory membership model.
    • She was always stressed and not making a ton of money
    • She didn’t love the business side of things
      • She then sold the business and it forced her out of her comfort zone.
    • She’s now all online and about to do her own retreat.

    • The pain has to be stronger than the fear, and that’s where she was.

  • What was the most difficult thing you’ve found with people who invest money with you?
    • Money is one of the highest forms of commitment.
    • When someone invests in themselves, they tend to take it more seriously.
    • People make things harder than they have to be.
  • What are some of the different habits you try to help people create?
    • She’s open about the extreme dieting she used to do.
    • She gets a lot of women that have really bad relationships with food.
    • She has women identify what foods are trigger foods for them.
    • Why do we reward ourselves with food? It’s just food and we have to look at it differently.
  • What do you think about fasting?
    • She loves intermittent fasting.
    • It’s awesome for brain cognition and function.
    • Great for cleaning your gut.
    • We put too much emphasis on food.
  • Do you believe that what you know or who you know is more important and why?
    • Who you know because if you don’t know the right people to get your message out, you’ll never be able to grow and build.
    • You can always learn along the way.

    • Lori Harder – she’s not afraid to ask questions and get people on her podcast.
