      • As a kid, did you ever resent your dad for pushing you?
        • Don’t be soft.
        • One of the number one ways he went from being extremely shy to having unstoppable confidence was making him act like he was confident even when he wasn’t.
        • His dad made him speak for five minutes before him, he continued to make him do that.
        • Way too many people are living in their comfort zone.
      • Do you believe that what you know or who you know is more important, and why?
        • Equal, but you’ll never get to know the who if you don’t know the what.
        • If Caleb had to choose, he’d say what you know.
          • A hunger to learn gives you more connection.
        • Who you know is more important from a business aspect, but they work together.
      • How important is it for you to be around successful people?
        • One of the most powerful things you can do is to associate with influencers.
          • The energy you pick up on by being in the room with these people enhance who you are.
        • It’s important to understand by being around successful people you’re learning from their actions.
        • When you get around people who have the right energy, you’ve got to go with that flow.
        • Getting around these people allows you to tap into their mindset and become someone amazing by association.
      • Give us any tips for getting out of a conversation with someone who is sucking value from you.
        • If it’s someone who has a poverty mindset, who’s negative or a leach – just be honest, “I’ve enjoyed this conversation, I wish you the best, I gotta go.”
        • You’ve got to care about people, but you’ve got to guard your time.
          • You need to guard your energy.
        • You need to evaluate if it’s a good person who’s never had a mentor or if there’s something more insidious going on.
      • What’s your advice to someone who wants to avoid being “that guy.”
        • Approach with confidence and an authentic nature.
        • Successful people can read people.
        • Never apologize for approaching them, it’s a sign of poverty thinking.
        • Let your compliments be unique, ask a question that shows interest.
        • Keep it brief and story based and get them talking.
        • Confidence, respect, hunger.
          • Approach people with confidence.
          • Have respect, don’t try to act like you’re better than them.
          • Hunger, who asks us the most questions?
            • People can sense if you’re asking a question because of a formality or because you really want to know.
